2012 ANNUAL AWARDS

Nomination Criteria


All awards will be announced and presented at the Annual Awards on Saturday 13th October 2012

Nomination Period: 1st June 2011 – 31st May 2012(inclusive)

Any paddler who has achieved outstanding results during the Award period. Nominee must have been a financial QC member during the nomination period.
Nominee demonstrates respect for officials and opponents, practices a philosophy of fair play and presents a positive image of the sport to the general public.

Any paddler 18yrs or younger, who has achieved outstanding results during the award period. Nominee must have been a financial QC member during the nomination period.
Nominee demonstrates respect for officials, opponents and others, practices a philosophy of fair play and presents a positive image of the sport to the general public.

Any paddler 35yrs or older, who has achieved outstanding results during the award period. Nominee must have been a financial QC member during the nomination period.
Nominee demonstrates respect for officials, opponents and others, practices a philosophy of fair play and presents a positive image of the sport to the general public.

Any person who has made an outstanding contribution to the development and operation of canoeing in QLD as an officiator, coach / Assistant, Manager etc. at QC events.
Consideration will be made to personal background in the sport and the years of service prior to the nomination period.
The person nominated under this Award need not be a member of Queensland Canoeing.

Any AC qualified coach of any canoeing discipline who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of canoeing in Queensland, from a voluntary position.
Nominee has achieved outstanding results during the award period in any canoeing discipline, and has the ability to apply relevant training theory and coaching principles to improve the level of performance of the team or athlete. They demonstrate concern for the development of the athlete in and out of the sporting environment.
Nominee demonstrates respect for officials, opponents and others, practices a philosophy of fair play and presents a positive image of canoeing to the general public.
A QLD Canoeing club which has made an outstanding contribution to the development of Canoeing in QLD. Nominated clubs must have an inclusive, open and active approach to members and the community in order to attract more members. The club has open communication with its members, and encourages attendance at events on the racing and recreation calendar. The club offers professional development opportunities to its members and works towards clear club growth strategies.

Any AC qualified guide or instructor of any canoeing discipline who has displayed exceptional program delivery to help promote canoeing and kayaking in Queensland.
Nominee has delivered exceptional programs during the award period in any canoeing discipline, and has the ability to apply Guide/ Instructional principles to improve the level of performance, safety and enjoyment to all participants.
These nominees must be delivering Queensland Canoeing or affiliated club programs.
