On Sunday the 5th of August an enthousiastic group of people from the club went down to Currumbin Creek for a paddle. We met at the club at 6:30 am to load the boats on the trailer then headed down to the Gold Coast. Some members came directly to the starting point and we ended up being 11 paddlers in total. Those of us who hadn’t been down there before soon found out that it’s a beautiful creek and very different to Tingalpa Creek – we all really enjoyed the paddle upstream where we had morning tea in the park, then made our way back again to our starting point where we had lunch before heading back to Brisbane.
