Tingalpa Trot 2023

Thank you to our volunteers and paddling community for your support of the Tingalpa Trot for 2023. A shout out to key supporters Redlands City Council, Our Coffee Lady and  Paddle Queensland.

Our race had 78 craft entered with 84 paddlers. Most stayed on top of the water but some, mainly WRCC members, and thanks to the paddlers and safety boats who assisted in the rescues.

Race results are available on the link below and have a look at our facebook page for some photo’s of the event and spectacular drone footage provided by Youngmin Kim.

Welcome

Fun, Health Competition is our mantra. If you like the idea of “getting out on the water” come and visit the Wynnum Redlands Canoe Club.

Located on Tingalpa Creek, just down from the Thorneside Railway Station, we offer the experience of paddling an incredible estuary that is the home of many species of birds and fish. Located only 1km from Moreton Bay, the chance to explore the Redlands Coast awaits. Dugong, turtles, dolphin, shorebirds are regularly seen.

Our Club offers competition training, coaching and racing in sprint and marathon disciplines. With Brisbane 2032 on the horizon and the Birkdale Whitewater Venue to be the home of Slalom, our focus will expand to include Canoe Polo and Whitewater skills.

We are an inclusive club suitable for all ages, skills and abilities. Our experienced members make paddling easy to get started and learn as you go in a safe, social environment. You don’t need your own kayak, but we encourage you to consider purchasing a craft that best suits you and the type of paddling you will enjoy.

We run regular “Come and Try “Events that provide you with the basic skills to commence.
